Anyone who’s been to this website from the get-go knows I have high regard for Winter Bicycles. I’ve never met Eric Estlund, the man behind the bike company. But some day, yes, I definitely must. He’s building bikes up in Eugene, Oregon, just a few hours west of Bend, where my family likes to cool its heels in summer. Seeing the bike-building process in photos gives me a greater appreciation for the craft, the work, the art. Photo courtesy of Winter Cycles.
