Bianchi

Bianchi – Italian High-Performance Bicycle Manufacturer with over 120 Years of Racing Triumphs

Italian pedigree made famous by Fausto Coppi. My first serious road bike was a Bianchi. In 1984, the Bianchi “Professional” weighed in at a sweet 21 pounds, considered light then. The front chainrings were 52/42, which created a “diesel” lower-rpm pedal stroke. That primary color Bianchi’s are known for? Is it green or blue? I always considered it green. The official name: Celeste #227. Bianchi bikes now come in black, white, blue and combos. A hardcore group of Bianchi riders share photos on flickr.

Classic black & white video posted by Carlo Tacconi here.
