Great people

“Really great people make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

- Mark Twain

Quick update: Normally here on BC, I blog about topics close to my heart: favorite rides, bike industry trends, and all things cycling. With the Death Valley Double on Saturday and San Diego Gran Fondo Century on Sunday, I just want to share quickly that I’m inching closer to the formal start of a dream held for the better part of a year. I posted the idea several months ago, and have been turning the cranks toward a soft launch in the second half of 2010. The work and details after-hours + weekends are many. But just like anything worth pursuing, they’re a price I’ll gladly pay.

Cyclists may claim various allegiances (road, cross, mountain, commuter, track, urban, and more). The one commonality, though, they share is this: They are really great people. Whether it’s raising money for causes, helping someone new to the sport, or riding to work, there is a unique vibe cycling fills that can’t always be equaled in other areas of our daily lives. That’s why I’m so attracted to cycling, and to people who enjoy riding. Yes, I absolutely have to agree…..Cyclists are great people. A big loud ditto to that one. Your BC Tours sounds awesome and I’m anxious to see it come to fruition. Best of luck with it, dude.
