As the MTB research continues, I came across this. A Moots Smoothie full-suspension model. It was introduced in 2002 but obviously stands the test of time. This one hails from the Bavaria region of Germany. The photostream of speedvagen illustrates a wonderful eye for many flavors of bike: Pereira, Vanilla, Soulcraft, DeSalvo, Merlin, Serotta, Seven, and even a Phil Wood rig with an attitude. Check out the PW’s nickname. A little bit of something for everyone. Moots, as usual, captured my attention. And Smoothie is the Monday Crave. For extra measure, there’s a Vamoots included. - Handmade in Italy Oh, how I wish I lived in the snow (for a few days, anyway). And by “snow,” I mean East. If I did, I’d be at this show pronto, on Feb. 26. The makers of my first rig of choice (Moots) will be there, as well as many other bike...
- Magic carpet ride Any reader of this blog knows I’ve got a serious crush on my Moots. It’s been that way since I set eyes on her in 2005 and took my first Moots-inspired bike ride. If it came down to a choice of one bike today, the decision would be simple: titanium. Exotic...
