Clean but never squeaky

by jeffbean on June 23, 2009

I’m pretty bad about keeping a clean bike. @RickieRainwater on Twitter is not. He rides a red pro Team Nemo Viner. Nemo is spotless. How else could she get a seat at the kitchen table? Viner hails from Italy and they sell primarily in the UK countries in Europe, making the sight of Viner on U.S. roads that more rare. If you’re ever down Fayetteville, Arkansas way, chances are you’ll run across Nemo — and Rickie riding. Rickie’s Tweets are priceless. You can see his love for cycling in each word, serious, heartfelt and humorous. Sample: “Decided to clean my bike clothes, in case I get the urge to run away on my bike, kind of like Forrest Gump, but on a bike.” Rickie’s Viner, which is clean but never squeaky, is today’s featured Crave. Here are the specs: 54 cm, Shimano 105, Easton Orion II wheels built on Velomax hubs, Shimano Compact 50/34 crankset, Speedplay X2 pedals, FSA K-Force carbon bars, FSA K-Force post, Reynols Ouzo Pro fork. 18 pounds of Italian racing machine.

  5. Gracias, danke, merci, grazie, thanks It goes without saying that today in the U.S. is one heckuva day of gratitude. There will be hugs. Smiles. Sighs. And maybe a few tears. Yeah, Nemo is sweet. Rickie’s clearly got his priorities straight! I don’t know how he keeps that bike so new looking with all the riding he does though.

Nemo is blushing in the kitchen from so much attention. Thanks, what an honor to be featured on Bike Crave!

Nemo deserves the attention, and so do cool riders who root for the Razorbacks. Thanks for the pics, Rickie and sharing. Very happy to feature Nemo and you. Hope your riding is going well. I know you’re logging plenty of miles and starting to ride with the team there. Very nice.
