14.375 lbs / 6.52 kgs

Being a firefighter in San Diego County has a few perks. Namely riding time when not on 24-hour shifts. Bing Tom is a San Diego BikeCraver with style and humor. His Twitter bio @bingtom includes this:  ”one man stimulus for the bike industry.” And he takes pics of his two-wheeled equipment, adorned appropriately with a splash of fire engine red.  The first pic is from the J Street Marina in Chula Vista. The area’s great. Here’s a link to a 5-city ride that includes it. At a Penny per mile, it’s an easy 25 cents to a cause of your choosing. For me, Bing’s BMC SLC01 Pro Machine is a double crave at 14.375 pounds. Specs: Full Campy Record, Zero Gravity brakes, Selle Italia Carbonio saddle, Ritchey WCS stem, Zipp SL bars, Easton EC90 post, Nokon cables, Profile Design cages. Campy Bora G3 wheelset. Nicely done.

Oh, so that’s Tom’s ride, huh? Very nice. And the fire engine red is perfect for sure. :-)

Hi ME, and the amazing thing? This is his “heavier” bike of the two he owns. We’ll need to feature the “lighter” bike down the road on BikeCrave. Thanks for stopping and taking time to write.
